The Powerball game jackpot is on the move again. The grand prize for the Saturday, March 18th, 2023 drawing rises to $78,000,000 with the lump-sum cash payout at an estimated $$41.1 million. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, March 15th, 2023 were 16-18-33-37-50 and Powerball was 08. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 265 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. A single lucky winner from won the $31.00 million grand prize in Saturday, June 12th, 2021 drawing.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. 7 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 7 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 158 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 62 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 423 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $100. 147 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.

Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which increases the winnings except jackpot. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years.
