Saturday's Powerball jackpot builds to $45,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

The multi-state Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $45,000,000 dollars after there was no grand prize winner in Wednesday's drawing. The cash value stands at $$22.9 million up for grab. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, March 8th, 2023 were 26, 27, 43, 61, 69 with Power Ball number 04.
Though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a single 2nd prize winner from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in Florida will collect $1 million cash.
Other major winners Wednesday evening included 7 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 105 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 50 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 337 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 130 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
There were 27,860 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. A single ticket sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball. The lucky ticket holder will collect $10,000 cash. There were 45 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 8 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine ways to win, there were a total of 322,418 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 drawing.
