A single player in Arizona walked away with $454 million Powerball jackpot in Wednesday night's drawing

A single winner has taken the $454 million jackpot from the most recent drawing of the multistate Powerball game. The only ticket to match all the winning numbers from Wednesday night's drawing was sold in Arizona. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, April 27th, 2022 were 11-36-61-62-68 and Powerball was 04. The winning ticket holder will have the choice of annuity payments for the entire prize amount of $454 million, or the cash option of $271.9 million before taxes. The winning ticket holder is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
In addition to the grand prize hit on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, Powerball produced more happy winners walked away with huge prizes. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) purchased in Indiana, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 23 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 655 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. Other prizes won Wednesday night included 1680 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 420 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
There were 125,440 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 4 lucky New York players matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000. There was a single lucky New York player matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. 239 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 32 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 1,404,150 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
The new Powerball drawing, Saturday night, will feature a jackpot of $20 million with the cash option at $12 million.
