No one won the jackpot. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $84 million

Friday's Mega Millions lottery grand prize rised up to $84 million, since no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night. The cash option for Friday will be $58.4 million. Tuesday's $73 million is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The numbers from Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 drawing were 21, 26, 56, 61, 65 with Mega Ball number 04 and Megaplier x3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 833 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.A single lucky winner from Maryland walked away with $189 million jackpot in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.

While there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. 9 3rd prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 242 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. 627 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

There were 88,332 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 44166 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With nine prize levels, there were a total of 1,079,586 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in U.S. lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players in prize winnings. About 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
