The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $325 million

The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to grow exciting players all across the country. Since no one correctly hit all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number in Friday's drawing the jackpot will increase to an estimated $325 million! The cash value stands at a projected $224.1 million. The winning numbers from Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 drawing were 02, 03, 19, 52, 58 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier 2. The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 859 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

Although the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were 2 second prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing, matching the first five white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in won a quarter million dollar cash each.

Other major winners Tuesday evening included 20 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 511 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 1261 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.

There were 133,726 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 66863 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With nine different ways to win, there were 1,772,752 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 drawing.

Mega Millions game is played in 43 states and D.C. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The overall chances of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
