No jackpot ticket sold last night. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $69 million

Without a big winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has rolled over the grand prize to $69 million for Tuesday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $46.4 million. Nobody matched all six numbers to win the $60 million jackpot Friday. The next Mega Millions drawing is going to be at 10:59 PM Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Friday, January 3rd, 2020 drawing were 37-41-42-53-63 with Mega Ball number 16 and Megaplier 2. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 648 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

Though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 9 3rd prize lucky winners. These included 9 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Additional prizes won Friday night included 210 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 587 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

There were 74,476 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 37238 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 841,386 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, January 3rd, 2020 drawing.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game can be played in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players in prizes. Around 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play Mega Millions, choose 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose a Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
