Nobody hit the jackpot last night. Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $451,000,000 Tuesday

There has been another carry over in the grand prize for the multistate Mega Millions lottery - to $451,000,000. The cash option will be an estimated $$208.7 million. The grand prize grew because nobody hit all six numbers from Friday night's $423,000,000 drawing. The numbers drawn Friday night, September 19th, 2025 were 02, 22, 27, 42, 58 with Mega Ball number 08 and Megaplier .

Even though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. A total of 8 lucky players won the third prize. These included 8 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

In addition, 203 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 561 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

With 9 different ways to win, there were 677,352 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, September 19th, 2025 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot in North American lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players through prize winnings. Approximately 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
