Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $250,000,000 Tuesday, October 29th, 2024; Two second prize tickets sold

The projected grand prize for Friday night's drawing was $229,000,000. According to official Mega Millions, no one hit every number and the jackpot increased to a projected $250,000,000. The cash value stands at a projected $$117.3 million up for grab. The numbers from Friday night, October 25th, 2024 were 23-26-35-41-43 and the Mega Ball was 07, Megaplier was 2.
While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were two tickets that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in MO(2) won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 15 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 273 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prize winnings. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 and pick one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
