Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $625,000,000 Friday; 2 second prize tickets sold

With no winner in the last draw, the Mega Millions game grand prize is going to be worth a projected $625,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$288.8 million) the next time the multistate lottery is drawn on Friday. The amount rolled over because nobody hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $600,000,000 jackpot Tuesday night. The winning numbers drawn Tuesday night, October 14th, 2025 were 12, 22, 49, 57, 58 with Mega Ball number 19 and Megaplier x.
Though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were 2 lucky players that correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in will collect $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 15 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 211 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 628 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 802,934 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. To play, select 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then pick 1 Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The chances of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout option instead.
