Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $361,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

With no winner in the last drawing, the Mega Millions lottery grand prize is going to be worth an estimated $361,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$169.2 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Tuesday. The amount carried over since no player hit all six winning numbers to win the $334,000,000 grand prize Friday night. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, November 8th, 2024 were 25, 28, 42, 64, 69 with Mega Ball 19 and Megaplier 3.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a sole ticket that matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) purchased in MI, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Friday night included 13 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Friday evening included 284 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. There were 797 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
There were 116,492 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 58246 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 1,334,318 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, November 8th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and D.C. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
