Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $34 million Tuesday, June 1st, 2021; 1 second prize ticket sold

The grand prize in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game continues moving up and is going to be up to $34 million for the next drawing on Tuesday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $23.2 million. The amount was rolled over because no one matched all six numbers to win the $22 million grand prize Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, May 28th, 2021 drawing were 10-14-20-47-70 with Mega Ball 15 and Megaplier x2. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 794 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.A single lucky player from Maryland won the $189 million jackpot in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There was only one lucky player that correctly matched the first 5 numbers and won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 8 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday night included 243 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 694 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players through prizes. About 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses.
