Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot increases to $489,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

There has been another carry over in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions game - to $489,000,000. The cash value will be an estimated $$226.4 million. The grand prize grew since no one matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number from Friday night's $453,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Friday, May 24th, 2024 drawing were 46, 54, 56, 67, 70 with Mega Ball number 16 and Megaplier 3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past seventeen draws since Friday, March 29th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in NJ, matched all six numbers for a $0 million top prize.
Even though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole ticket that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) sold in CA, each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday evening included 358 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. 876 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
