Mega Millions jackpot builds to $468 million Tuesday, May 18th, 2021; One second prize ticket sold

Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery jackpot will be worth $468 million (lump-sum cash payout $316.2 million), since nobody matched all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in Friday night's drawing. The numbers from Friday night, May 14th, 2021 were 03, 18, 41, 44, 68 with Mega Ball number 03 and Megaplier x2. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 790 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There was only one lucky ticket matched the first five white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in , each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 23 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 659 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 1899 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
There were 241,946 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 120973 jackpot winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 2,909,658 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, May 14th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play, select 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then choose a Mega Ball number from a set of 25. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout instead.
