The grand prize in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game continues moving up and will be up to $195,000,000 for the next drawing on Tuesday. The cash option will be $$86.3 million. The amount was rolled over because no player hit all 5 white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $178,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, May 1st, 2026 drawing were 16-21-27-41-61 with Mega Ball number 24 and Megaplier x.

While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some people still walked away with big money. A total of 4 lucky players won the third prize. These included 4 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Other prizes won Friday night included 122 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 374 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 470,027 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, May 1st, 2026 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record biggest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play, pick 5 numbers from 1 to 70 and select one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1.
