Nobody hit the jackpot. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot goes to $29,000,000

The projected grand prize for Friday night's drawing was $20,000,000. According to official Mega Millions, no one matched every number and the grand prize rolled up to $29,000,000. The cash value will be $$13.3 million. The winning numbers from Friday, March 28th, 2025 drawing were 02-09-31-60-63 with Mega Ball number 23 and Megaplier X5.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. A total of 7 lucky tickets won the third prize. Among them, 7 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 184 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. There were 459 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
There were 67,504 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 33752 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 710,354 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, March 28th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions game can be played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record biggest jackpot in North American lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prizes. About 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 then select a Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one lump sum cash payout instead.
