Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot builds to $152 million; 2 tickets won the second prize

The Mega Millions multi-state lottery grand prize increased to $152 million (cash value $102.2 million) Tuesday night when there were no jackpot winning tickets in the $137 million drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Friday, March 26th, 2021 drawing were 04-25-37-46-67 with Mega Ball 15 and Megaplier X3. The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over for 776 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

Though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were 2 tickets that matched the first 5 numbers and won the second prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in won $1,000,000 cash each.

Additional prizes won Friday evening included 10 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday evening included 353 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 850 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.

There were 107,774 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 53887 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 1,295,960 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, March 26th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
