Nobody matched all six numbers last night. Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $137 million

There was no ticket sold matched all six numbers in the last multi-state Mega Millions game draw, and the estimated grand prize for Friday's drawing will build to $137 million, lottery officials announced. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $92.5 million. The winning numbers from Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 drawing were 12-23-35-38-55 and the Mega Ball was 11, Megaplier was 2. No one won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 775 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. 20 3rd prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. These included 20 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 343 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 955 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.

There were 107,630 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 53815 jackpot winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With 9 different ways to win, there were 1,414,070 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players through prize winnings. Around 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70+1/25 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
