Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $1,130,000,000; Five second prize tickets sold

There has been another roll-over in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions lottery - to $1,130,000,000. The cash value will be a projected $$537.5 million up for grab. The jackpot grew because no player matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number from Friday night's $977,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Friday, March 22nd, 2024 drawing were 03-08-31-35-44 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier 3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 30 draws since Tuesday, December 12th, 2023. Two lucky winners from CA(2) won the jackpot in Friday, December 8th, 2023 drawing and shared $395 million.
Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were five 2nd prize winners from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching all five white ball numbers except the Mega Ball number. The five lucky ticket(s) bought in CA,FL,IL,NE,TX, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Friday night included 68 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday evening included 1452 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. There were 3589 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
There were 432,172 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 216086 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
