No one matched all six numbers. Mega Millions jackpot rolls up to $122 million Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021

Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot increased to $122 million, since no one matched all six winning numbers drawn Friday night. The lump-sum cash payout for Tuesday will be a projected $81.1 million up for grab. Friday's $105 million is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers from Friday, March 19th, 2021 drawing were 09, 14, 40, 58, 69 with Mega Ball number 08 and Megaplier X3. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 774 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

While the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. A total of 12 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 12 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Other prizes won Friday night included 280 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 747 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

There were 104,802 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 52401 jackpot winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With nine different ways to win, there were 1,329,852 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, March 19th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions lottery can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players through prize winnings. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Approximately 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
