Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $68 million; 2 tickets won the second prize

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot is on the move again. The jackpot for the Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 drawing jumps to $68 million with the lump-sum cash payout of a projected $46.3 million. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, March 5th, 2021 were 10-11-17-27-54 with Mega Ball number 20 and Megaplier X2. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 770 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky player from Maryland walked away with $189 million grand prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.

Even though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were 2 tickets that correctly matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional prizes won Friday night included 19 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Friday night included 471 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. There were 933 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
