Friday's Mega Millions jackpot rises to $80,000,000; One ticket won the second prize

There was no ticket sold with all 5 lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in the latest multi-state Mega Millions game draw, and the estimated grand prize for Friday's drawing will build to $80,000,000, lottery officials announced. The cash value stands at $$38.2 million. The numbers from Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 drawing were 21-22-50-55-67 and the Mega Ball was 20, Megaplier was 2.

Even though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a sole lucky ticket correctly matched all five lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in WI won $1,000,000 cash each.

Also, 6 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. In addition, 202 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 477 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 800,414 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record biggest jackpot in North American lottery history. To play Mega Millions, choose 5 numbers from a set of 70 then pick one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. The odds of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
