Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $61,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

There has been another roll-over in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions - to $61,000,000. The cash value will be a projected $$29.3 million. The grand prize grew since nobody matched all six winning numbers from Friday night's $47,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Friday, June 14th, 2024 drawing were 01-25-26-31-65 with Mega Ball number 02 and Megaplier X3.

Though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was only one 2nd prize winning ticket from Friday night's drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in NJ won a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional major winners Friday evening included 6 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 196 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 547 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 825,708 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, June 14th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
