Mega Millions jackpot rolls up to $392,000,000 Tuesday, June 9th, 2026; 1 ticket won the second prize

Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery grand prize is going to be worth an estimated $392,000,000 (cash value $$173.3 million), because no one matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number in Friday night's drawing. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, June 5th, 2026 were 13, 30, 50, 52, 66 with Mega Ball number 02 and Megaplier x. The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over for 125 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Although the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a single 2nd prize winning ticket from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching all 5 lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other major winners Friday evening included 7 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday night included 130 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 380 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 527,531 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, June 5th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prizes. Roughly 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Around 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
