No ticket matched all six numbers. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot builds to $94 million

The jackpot in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game continues moving up and is going to be up to a projected $94 million for the next drawing on Friday. The cash option stands at $66.7 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over since nobody matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $82 million jackpot Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 drawing were 18, 47, 63, 68, 69 with Mega Ball 14 and Megaplier x3.

Even though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. A total of 11 lucky tickets won the third prize. Among them, 11 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 218 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 588 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

There were 76,896 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 38448 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With 9 different prize levels, there were a total of 995,812 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prize winnings. Approximately 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70+1/25 system from which winning numbers are chosen. The overall chances of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
