No one won the jackpot. Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $77,000,000 Tuesday, February 4th, 2025

There has been another roll-over in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions - to $77,000,000. The cash value will be an estimated $$34.8 million up for grab. The jackpot grew because no player hit all 6 numbers from Friday night's $59,000,000 drawing. The numbers drawn Friday night, January 31st, 2025 were 09, 28, 48, 56, 63 and the Mega Ball was 02, Megaplier was 2.
Although there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. 5 third prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. These included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Friday night included 174 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 435 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.
There were 74,716 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 37358 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
With nine ways to win, there were 776,296 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, January 31st, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. Roughly 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70+1/25 matrix to randomly choose winning numbers. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
