The cash option stands at a projected $$203.1 million. Mega Millions' jackpot increased because no one hit all 6 winning numbers drawn Friday night. The numbers from Friday night, February 20th, 2026 were 15, 40, 48, 58, 63 and the Mega Ball was 02, Megaplier was . The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 95 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Even though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 9 lucky players won the third prize. Among them, 9 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other winners Friday night included 149 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 409 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.

Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record biggest jackpot in North American lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players through prize winnings. Approximately 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from 1 to 70 and pick one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize.
