Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $199,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

There has been another rollover in the grand prize for the multistate Mega Millions lottery - to $199,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$90.5 million. The grand prize grew because no player hit all 6 winning numbers from Tuesday night's $180,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 drawing were 09-39-47-58-68 with Mega Ball number 24 and Megaplier X. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 82 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Although there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched all 5 numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Tuesday night included 4 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 135 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 364 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.
