Nobody hit the jackpot last night. Big Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Tuesday night

The estimated jackpot for Friday night's drawing was $394,000,000. According to Mega Millions, no one matched every number and the jackpot rolled up to $425,000,000. The cash option will be $$202 million. The winning numbers from Friday, February 9th, 2024 drawing were 17, 22, 29, 46, 69 with Mega Ball number 01 and Megaplier x3.

Even though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. 26 3rd prize winning tickets were sold across the U.S.. These included 26 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Additional prizes won Friday evening included 332 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 926 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.

There were 130,144 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 65072 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,420,702 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, February 9th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record largest jackpot in United States lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Approximately 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. About 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
