Mega Millions jackpot rolls up to $1,000,000,000 Tuesday, December 24th, 2024; 5 second prize tickets sold

The Mega Millions lottery grand prize increased because no one matched all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number from Friday night's $862,000,000 drawing. The next grand prize rolled up to $1,000,000,000 for Tuesday night's drawing. The cash option will be an estimated $$448.8 million up for grab. The numbers from Friday, December 20th, 2024 drawing were 02-20-51-56-67 and the Mega Ball was 19, Megaplier was 2. No one won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 29 draws since Friday, September 13th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in TX, matched all six numbers for a $800 million top prize.
Even though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were 5 tickets that correctly matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The 5 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in AR,IL,IN(2),PA won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Friday night included 37 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other winners Friday evening included 949 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. There were 2659 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

A ticket sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Mega Ball with Megaplier option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will receive $20,000.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1.
