No one won the jackpot last night. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $57,000,000

Without a jackpot winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over the grand prize to $57,000,000 for Friday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $$28.4 million. No one hit all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to win the $41,000,000 jackpot Tuesday. The next Mega Millions lottery drawing is going to be at 10:59 PM Friday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 drawing were 17, 26, 50, 58, 61 with Mega Ball number 11 and Megaplier 3.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. 1 3rd prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. Among them, 1 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 142 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. 485 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
There were 80,554 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 40277 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

Mega Millions lottery can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players through prizes. Approximately 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70+1/25 system to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The chances of winning is about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
