Mega Millions jackpot goes to $277 million; 2 players matched the first 5 numbers

Friday's Mega Millions jackpot will be worth a projected $277 million (cash option $189.2 million), because nobody matched all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number in Tuesday night's drawing. The winning numbers from Tuesday night, April 20th, 2021 were 06-23-43-49-52 with Mega Ball 05 and Megaplier x3.

Though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were 2 tickets that correctly matched all five white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in will collect $1,000,000 cash each.

Additional major winners Tuesday night included 17 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 449 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 1168 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

There were 142,806 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 71403 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York. A ticket sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Mega Ball with Megaplier option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will collect $30,000.

Mega Millions lottery can be played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record biggest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.
