Nobody hit the jackpot last night. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $220 million

The Mega Millions game jackpot has jumped up to $220 million (cash option $148.9 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Tuesday night. The jackpot amount has been carried over since no one matched all six winning numbers to take the $201 million jackpot Friday night. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, April 9th, 2021 were 22-26-27-58-66 with Mega Ball number 12 and Megaplier 2. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 780 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky player from Maryland won the $189 million grand prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.
Though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. A total of 9 lucky winners won the 3rd prize. These included 9 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Friday night included 345 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 1033 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
There were 136,254 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 68127 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were 1,715,196 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, April 9th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system to randomly pick winning numbers. The chances of winning any prizes is about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments.
