Friday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $110,000,000; One player matched the first 5 numbers

There were no tickets sold with all 5 lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in the last multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw, and the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will leap to $110,000,000, lottery officials announced. The cash option will be a projected $$49.2 million. The winning numbers drawn Tuesday night, April 7th, 2026 were 05-15-22-33-37 with Mega Ball 02 and Megaplier X. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 108 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a single lucky player that matched the first five numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 120 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 337 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 241,986 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and Washington DC. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prize winnings. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Around 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The overall chances of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
