The grand prize in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Since no player correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and the Powerball number in Wednesday's drawing, the jackpot will go to an estimated $152,000,000! The cash value stands at an estimated $$76.7 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 drawing were 10-12-55-65-67 and Powerball number was 03.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were a total of 4 3rd prize lucky winning tickets. These included 3 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Additional winners Wednesday evening included 180 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 63 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 493 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 157 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
There were 37,635 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There was one lucky New York player matched 4 lotto numbers as well as the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. There were 50 lucky New York players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 7 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine different prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 431,931 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) system to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which increases the prizes except grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
