Powerball jackpot builds to $1,800,000,000 Saturday night; Fifteen tickets won the second prize

The grand prize in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing rised to $1,800,000,000 for the Saturday drawing. The cash value will be a projected $$826.4 million. None of the tickets sold for Wednesday's $1,400,000,000 drawing matched 6 winning numbers. The winning numbers from Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 drawing were 03-16-29-61-69 and Powerball number was 22.
Though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were fifteen second prize winning tickets from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 numbers but not the Powerball number. The eleven second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA(2), CO(1), FL(1), GA(2), IL(1), MD(1), MN(1), OH(1) and PA(1) will collect $1,000,000 cash. The other four second prize winner(s) from MI(1), OR(1), TX(1) and WY(1) also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Also, 117 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 36 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
There were 430,344 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were two lucky New York players matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Two tickets sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. These lucky ticket holders will receive $40,000 cash each. There were 896 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 93 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 6,328,933 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
