Powerball jackpot breaks to $1,000,000,000 Monday, April 1st, 2024; 4 players matched the first 5 numbers

The lottery official announced that the Saturday, March 30th, 2024, POWERBALL's drawing resulted in a rollover, creating a $1,000,000,000 jackpot for the next drawing Monday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$483.8 million. The numbers from Saturday, March 30th, 2024 drawing were 12-13-33-50-52 and Powerball number was 23. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 38 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 4 lucky players that matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the second prize. The 4 lucky ticket(s) sold in Illinois(1), Louisiana(1), Michigan(1) and Pennsylvania(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Saturday night included 55 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 11 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 1254 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 325 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 3061 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 785 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 171,181 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were four lucky New York players matched 4 lotto numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 323 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. There were 43 lucky New York players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 2,340,071 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Saturday, March 30th, 2024 drawing.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
