Powerball jackpot rolls up to $687,000,000; Six second prize tickets sold

The Powerball lottery jackpot has been pumped up to a projected $687,000,000 (cash option $$327.3 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over since no one hit all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number to take the $645,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The numbers from Monday night, March 18th, 2024 were 10-17-20-39-44 with Power Ball number 16. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 33 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Though there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were six lucky players that matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The 1 ticket(s) in Florida matched the first 5 lotto numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2 million cash win! This is part of the Powerball game feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option doubling the prize to $2 million cash. Five other lucky ticket(s) sold in Maryland(1), Minnesota(1), Texas(2) and Virginia(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
Other prizes won Monday evening included 17 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 1 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition bought the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 73,663 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There was one lucky New Yorker matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 158 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 24 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With 9 prize levels, there were 872,774 tickets nationwide won a total of $0 prizes in the Monday, March 18th, 2024 drawing.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
