Powerball jackpot moves to $378,000,000 Saturday night; Two players won the second prize

The grand prize in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been rolled up to $378,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$177.5 million. The prize amount was rolled over since no player matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Wednesday's $353,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 drawing were 11, 13, 28, 51, 58 with Power Ball number 01. The Powerball jackpot has been rolling over for 23 draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in OR, matched all six numbers for a 331,000,000 top prize.
Although there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were two lucky winners matched all five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) purchased in CO(1) and WV(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Wednesday evening included 11 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 228 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 67 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, and also purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 613 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 182 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 36,948 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There was a single lucky New York winner matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 66 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 24 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.

Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the original winnings except jackpot. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching all six Powerball numbers are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot starts at $40,000,000.
