Powerball jackpot leaps to $169 million Saturday night; 1 player won the second prize

Saturday's Powerball jackpot is going to be worth $169 million (cash option $116.1 million), since no player matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Wednesday night's drawing. The numbers from Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 drawing were 17-18-37-44-53 with Power Ball number 18. Nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the past 112 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a sole lucky player that correctly matched the first five numbers and won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in Virginia won 1 million dollar cash.
Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 25 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 25 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 325 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 110 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but also chose the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 924 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 363 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 45,481 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were three lucky New Yorkers matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 104 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. There were 22 lucky New York players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 619,758 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
