The jackpot for Monday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $460,000,000

The MUSL lottery official announced that the Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, POWERBALL's drawing resulted in a rollover, generating a $460,000,000 grand prize for the next drawing Monday. The cash value stands at an estimated $$220.4 million up for grab. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, March 2nd, 2024 were 03, 18, 27, 36, 53 and Powerball was 12. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 26 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There were 4 second prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The 4 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in California(2), Georgia(1) and Michigan(1) won 1 million dollar cash.
Also, 25 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 622 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 174 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 1395 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 449 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 70,462 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There was one lucky New York player matched 4 lotto numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 191 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. 29 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Saturday night's drawing produced 923,346 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball game uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching all six Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
