Saturday's Powerball jackpot builds to $72,000,000; One player matched the first five numbers

The multi-state Powerball jackpot has built to $72,000,000 dollars after there was no grand prize winner in Wednesday's drawing. The cash value will be a projected $$34.7 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 drawing were 04, 27, 44, 50, 64 and Powerball was 07.
While the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one ticket(s) in NY matched all five white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2,000,000 cash win!
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 7 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 29,065 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 3 lucky New Yorkers matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 60 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 11 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing created 371,854 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 and pick a Powerball number from a set of 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the original prizes except jackpot. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of matching all six Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners may select one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
