Nobody won the jackpot. Powerball jackpot climbs to $44,000,000

The multi-state Powerball game grand prize has climbed to a projected $44,000,000 dollars after there was no grand prize winner in Saturday's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$21.2 million. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, June 15th, 2024 were 04, 36, 48, 54, 56 with Power Ball number 02. Nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the past 1236 draws since Wednesday, June 12th, 2024. One lucky player from NJ won the 221,000,000 grand prize in Monday, June 10th, 2024 drawing.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 13 lucky tickets won the third prize with or without Power Play option. 1 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 210 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 66 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, and also chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 517 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 166 additional players not just matched 3+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 34,141 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. A ticket sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will collect $40,000. 59 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. 12 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With 9 different prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing created 426,462 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the winnings but not grand prize. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching 6 Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may select one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
