The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $286 million

There was no ticket sold with all 5 white ball numbers plus the Powerball number in the latest multi-state Powerball draw, and the estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing will grow to $286 million, according to lottery officials. The cash option will be a projected $196.6 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 drawing were 06, 07, 11, 66, 67 with Power Ball number 19. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 136 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. A single lucky player from Michigan walked away with $70.00 million top prize in Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 drawing.
Though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were 3 lucky players that matched the first five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 3 lucky ticket(s) purchased in Indiana(1), Virginia(1) and Washington(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 16 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 412 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 147 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! There were 1073 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 298 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 57,049 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were two lucky New York players matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 128 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. There were 16 lucky New York players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 736,250 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play Powerball, pick 5 numbers from 1 to 69 and pick a Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play option, which increases the original winnings but not jackpot. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball grand prize are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
