Powerball jackpot moves to $186 million; 7 tickets matched the first five numbers

The jackpot in America's favorite Powerball lottery game continues to move up exciting players all across the country. Because no player correctly matched all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number in Wednesday's drawing the jackpot will rise to a projected $186 million! The cash value stands at $134.6 million up for grab. The numbers from Saturday, July 24th, 2021 drawing were 01, 04, 11, 59, 67 and Powerball was 10.
While the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were 7 lucky winners matched all 5 lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two ticket(s) in Maryland(1) and Virginia(1) matched the first five white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2,000,000 cash win! This is part of the Powerball feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option pushing the second prize to 2 million dollar cash. Five other lucky ticket(s) sold in Florida(1), Illinois(1), New Hampshire(1), New Jersey(1) and Tennessee(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
Other prizes won Saturday night included 14 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
There were 47,576 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. 2 tickets sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. 106 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. There were 20 lucky New York players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 651,488 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Saturday, July 24th, 2021 drawing.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play, select 5 numbers from 1 to 69 then choose one Powerball number from a set of 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play option, which increases the winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
