Powerball jackpot increases to $174 million Saturday, July 24th, 2021; 2 players matched the first five numbers

The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps moving up and will be up to a projected $174 million for the next drawing on Saturday. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $125.5 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over since no one matched all 5 white ball numbers and the Powerball number to win the $161 million grand prize Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday, July 21st, 2021 drawing were 27, 28, 44, 67, 68 with Power Ball number 11.
While the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 2 lucky winners matched all five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) sold in Ohio(1) and West Virginia(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash.
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 264 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 71 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! 737 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 204 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 603,218 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
