No jackpot winning ticket sold last night. Wednesday's Powerball jackpot leaps to $75,000,000

Wednesday's Powerball game jackpot climbed to $75,000,000, because nobody matched all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number drawn Monday night. The cash option for Wednesday will be an estimated $$36 million. Monday's $64,000,000 is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, July 15th, 2024 were 09, 31, 39, 40, 45 with Power Ball number 23.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Monday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. A total of 5 lucky winners won the third prize with or without Power Play. These included 4 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000.
In addition, 123 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 60 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Monday night included 328 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $100. 132 additional tickets of this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With 9 different prize levels, there were 274,583 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Monday, July 15th, 2024 drawing.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 69 and choose 1 Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Power Play option, which increases the prizes but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout instead.
