The jackpot for Monday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $248,000,000

The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps moving up and is going to be up to $248,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Monday. The cash option will be $$112.4 million. The amount was rolled over because no one hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $234,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, July 12th, 2025 drawing were 08-16-24-33-54 with Power Ball number 18.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were two second prize winners from Saturday night's drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in TX won $1,000,000 cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from WI also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
In addition, 11 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 5 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 42,629 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. One ticket sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball. The lucky ticket holder will receive $10,000 cash. 103 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. There were 28 lucky New York winners won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With 9 prize tiers, the Saturday night's drawing generated 578,088 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
