Wednesday's Powerball jackpot builds to $41,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

There has been another rollover in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball - to $41,000,000. The cash value stands at a projected $$19.4 million up for grab. The jackpot grew because nobody hit all 6 numbers from Monday night's $29,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Monday night, July 8th, 2024 were 20-22-31-33-45 with Power Ball 01.
Though there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a single ticket that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in NJ, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Monday night included 4 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 4 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Additional prizes won Monday night included 144 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 49 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! There were 293 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 102 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine prize tiers, the Monday night's drawing produced 234,368 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
