The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $331,000,000

Saturday's Powerball jackpot rised up to $331,000,000, since nobody matched all 6 numbers drawn Wednesday night. The cash value for Saturday will be $$145.1 million. Wednesday's $303,000,000 is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers from Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 drawing were 08, 41, 52, 53, 58 and Powerball number was 07.
While the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky player that matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) purchased in OH, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 1 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 1 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 208 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 78 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 585 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Powerball and won $100. 190 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With nine prize levels, there were a total of 564,445 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 drawing.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 participating states as a shared jackpot game. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball game uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $2.
