Powerball jackpot climbs to $303,000,000 Wednesday, January 15th, 2025; One ticket matched the first 5 numbers

Monday night's Powerball game drawing has yielded no grand prize winner for the $285,000,000 grand prize. With nobody matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Powerball lottery , Wednesday night's drawing is going to be worth $303,000,000 for a single winner. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $$132.8 million. The numbers from Monday, January 13th, 2025 drawing were 04, 06, 16, 39, 66 and Powerball number was 09. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 16 draws since Monday, December 9th, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in NY, matched all six numbers for a 260,000,000 top prize.
Though the grand prize was not hit Monday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole lucky player that correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers and won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in VA won $1 million cash.
In addition, 7 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 2 additional players not just matched 4+1, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Additional winners Monday evening included 215 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 67 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 583 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 205 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 462,238 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Monday, January 13th, 2025 drawing.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) system to randomly choose winning numbers. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the original winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
